How to 'cure' PMV

So let's start with what PMV is. Its full name is Paramoxovirus, and ranges in severity. For example, in mild cases pigeons tend to fully recover after around 6 weeks from the first symptoms. In much deadlier, mortality rate can reach from 50% - 100%. Remember to always isolate the pigeon before treatment.
As much as I would like to say there is a cure, sadly there isn't...The only thing you can do to help a pigeon survive is to prevent malnutrition and dehydration.
You should also remember:
- Pigeons should be fed twice a day, this may be a different case with our PMV affected pigeon. For example, if the pigeon is hard to feed it's best to feed it little more often.
- If the pigeon tries to eat on its own, keep a close eye on how much he eats. Leave the dish out for an hour and then remove it after you have seen that the pigeon has eaten.
- Keep the isolation room clean and spotless. PMV is carried through dust in the feathers and droppings.
Feed it the following for best results:
- Multivitamin supplements
- K2 for blood coagulation (in healthy birds produced by normal bacteria in the birds' bowel)
- Vitamin D3 and Calcium as well as B complex for paramoxovirus symptoms
- Electrolytes and probiotics such as yogurt to help build up resistance and produce more healthy bacteria in the gut.
When they get PMV, the actual infectious stage is over in six weeks, by when it has run its course. Symptoms may persist longer.
